If you are interested in competition and you know which event you would like to compete in at the Gold Coast Section Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 6th, you can still sign up! Trip slips are already available in B155. If you are interested but also unsure, officers will be available in B155 during lunch to answer any questions you have. You may also visit www.cafbla.org for more information on the different events. |
Hey FBLA members!
On FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12 we will be having a business tour of The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). FIDM is a school that provides training for students who want careers in Fashion, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Entertainment. In addition to getting the chance to find out more about FIDM, you will also be able to see the nominated Academy Awards costumes on display. Please take this upcoming week to decide whether or not you are interested in attending this tour. Remember that there will be NO SCHOOL on tour day so you won't have to miss class.
Attire is business casual; sneakers will be permitted.
Planned schedule
Meet @ GHS - 10 am
Tour FIDM - 11 to 12:30
Lunch - to 2 pm
Return to GHS - 3 pm
Sign ups and trip slips will be available in Andrade's room B155 starting Wednesday, January 27th. Space is limited so turn in completed trip slips to B155 as soon as possible.

Rose Parade Float Decorating! |

Gabrielino FBLA will be helping decorate floats for the Rose Parade on 12/26 and 12/27. There are two shifts from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Everyone must bring their own scissors. You may pick up a flyer that contains information and a map in B155. The address is 16016 Avenida Padilla, Suite B

San Gabriel Firefighters Association Christmas Tree Lot |

Hey FBLA members! Starting this weekend, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until December 20, GHS FBLA will be helping the firefighters maintain their Christmas tree lot. This service will take place at the former New Century Ford on Las Tunas. The times you may help are: Every Friday - after school to 10 pm* Every Saturday - 8 am to 10 pm* Every Sunday - 8 am to 9 pm*

COMPETITION INFORMATIONAL MEETING! |

There is a general competition informational meeting, this Thursday, November 19th, in the small gym at lunch. PLEASE BE PROMPT! We will be talking about the different competitive event categories (varying from computers, public speaking, business, computers, English, math, etc.) and handing out competitive event information. Take this opportunity to learn more about competition and how it can be both fun and beneficial to FBLA members. Don't miss this chance to sign-up for competitive events and ask questions you may have!
