YOGURTLAND MULTICHAPTER SOCIAL/FUNDRAISER Gabrielino FBLA is hosting a Yogurtland Multi-Chapter Social/Fundraiser this Sunday, October 25 at the Yogurtland on Valley Blvd and Del Mar. Meet fellow FBLA members from Temple City High, Mark Keppel High, Rosemead High, Alhambra HS, Arcadia HS, and Ramona Convent! The social will take place between 3pm - 6pm, but if you can't make it, you can always help support us by coming in anytime between 11am to 11pm on the same day with our flyers and purchasing your favorite Yogurtland flavors! Have large, old clothes/accessories that are sitting in your closet collecting dust? Then, come by B155 anytime during this week and drop them off in FBLA's Clothes Donation Box and see what awaits you at our next meeting! 4-YEAR COLLEGE FAIR The 4 year College Fair will be held in the small gym from 10am-1pm on October 28, and different colleges and universities will have booths for students to ask questions, obtain handouts, among other things. Orientation Dates: Thursday October 22 lunch/after school, Friday October 23 lunch/after school or Tuesday October 27 lunch/after school. SHIFTS: 2nd Period Greeter: 3 volunteers are needed for this shift. Will greet students, representatives as they come into the school and as they come into the small gym. 3rd Period Ticket Collector: 3 volunteers are needed for this shift. Will collect tickets from different students and make sure teacher's signature is on the slip to permit their entrance into the fair. 3rd Period Refreshments: 2 volunteers are needed for this shift. Will guard the food table as well as assist in gathering food for representatives. 3rd Period Liason: 1 volunteer is needed for this shift. Will help with solving any necessary problems and helping college representatives with ANYTHING they need.

Washington Fall Festival & Coolidge Carnival |

SIGN UPS FOR THE WASHINGTON FALL FESTIVAL ARE FULL.
There are other opportunities to earn membership points by volunteering with Coolidge Elementary: egg stuffing and Coolidge Carnival. For the egg stuffing portion, we need 10 volunteers. It will take place in the cafeteria from 3 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, Oct 15. You do not need to be present for all three hours! The Carnival is on Oct. 24th from 7: 30 am to 5 pm. There will be shifts: 7:30 am to 10 am, 10 am to 12: 30 pm, 12: 30 pm to 3 pm, and 3 pm to 5 pm. You must wear your FBLA t-shirts if you plan on attending these services. Please email

We are helping out the school with the Recycling/Life Straw Project again this year. We will be collecting the cans and bottles in the bins that are located in teachers' rooms. The Career Center is hosting Financial Aid/College Information Night on Tuesday, October 6th. There are several shifts to sign up for! (Yes, you may do more than one shift!) Volunteers who are interested should wear FBLA shirts, and must attend a meeting either on 9/29 during lunch, or on 10/1 lunch or afterschool. Email Monica at

with ID number, email, and preferred meeting time. 6th Period set up: For those who have a free 6th, or can get excused from conditioning, this shift will consist of putting up posters, tables, or any other materials the Career Center needs us to put up. 5 volunteers are needed for this shift. Afterschool set up: This shift will last about an hour or so, and will consist of putting up any miscallaneous things left over from the previous shift and also setting up different rooms, etc. for the event. 5 members are needed for this shift. 6:20-7pm Greeters: This shift will last from 6:20pm-7pm, and will consist of warmly welcoming the guests, parents, and students to the school and event, and if necessary, guiding them to their respective classes. 6 volunteers are needed for this shift. 6:20-7pm Parking: This shift will last from 6:20pm-7pm, and will consist of guiding guests to parking spots, welcoming them, and leading them into the school, where the greeters will guide them to their classes. 3 members are needed for this shift. 6:30-8pm Runner: Runners will be going back and forth between classes, rooms, and gyms and helping the speakers, Mrs. Jakubiak, and any other school official with anything that they need. This shift will be from 6:30pm-8pm and 2 volunteers are needed for this shift. 8-8:15pm Clean-up: Clean-up crew will help take down posters, and clean-up anything that needs to be cleaned up. This shift will be from 8:00pm-8:15pm, and 3 volunteers are needed. |

On Saturday October 3rd, the District will be holding a Job Faire for the whole community in the Large gym at Gabrielino. Volunteers are needed to guard the doors and prevent food from going into the gym. The FBLA shift will be from 12pm-2pm, and 10 volunteers are needed, since there will be two entrances into the Large gym. FBLA shirt + khakis need to be worn. Email Monica at
