Under the guidance and support of advisers Mrs. La Croix and Mr. Marcos Andrade, Gabrielino FBLA has become one of the most active chapters at the section and state levels. Gabrielino FBLA has experienced much success winning the two most prestigious FBLA awards--the Gold Seal Chapter of Merit and Outstanding Chapter Award--titles given only to the strongest and most active chapters.

CONFERENCES
Leadership Development Institute (LDI). Leadership Development Institute is an informative and noncompetitive leadership development experience for chapter officers, membership with leadership potential, and chapter advisers. Sessions include motivational general sessions, workshops presented by section/state officers, and training delivered by professionals from the business community. The 2009 Leadership Development Institute will be from November 20-22 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

Gold Coast Section Conference.
California FBLA consists of six sections. Gabrielino FBLA is part of the Gold Coast Section, which consists of FBLA chapters in the Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties. Each section holds a yearly leadership conference generally held in late February or early March. Delegates at these events elect section officers, conduct section business, and participate in the first round of competitions leading to the State Leadership Conference. The 2010 Section Conference will be held on Saturday, March 6 at West Ranch High School and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

State Leadership Conference (SLC).
Held in the spring, and rotated between the northern and southern regions of the state, the purpose of this conference is to elect state officers, conduct state business, offer leadership and career development training, and administer statewide competitions to determine who will represent California in national competitions. The 2010 State Leadership Conference will be from April 12-15 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

National Leadership Conference (NLC).
This nationally-sponsored conference is held in June or July of each year in a different city around the country. State winners compete in the various competitive events. Leadership training is offered and national officers are elected.
